Preparation and performance of carboxylate dispersants

Abstract：Polycarboxylate dispersants containing phosphate groups is synthesized by free radical copolymerization method.This paper systematically studies the optimal formula and preparation process,dispersion performance,and their impact on the mechanical properties of coatings.The structure of polycarboxylate dispersant and the molecular weight and distribution of dispersant were con-firmed by Fourier infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and gel permeation chromatography(GPC).The results show that the addition of accelerators can effectively improve the conversion rate during the preparation of dispersants,thereby enhancing dispersibility.The dispersant F6 has the best dispersibility and does not affect the physical properties of the coating.
