Abstract:The application of rich aeolian sand resources instead of river sand in road construction can not only solve the problem of sand difficulty in the desert area, but also has ecological benefits and cost advantages.According to the requirements of the base mix ratio for secondary and subsecondary level highways, using four grades that is G2(20~30 mm)+G8(10~20 mm)+G11(5~10 mm)+XG3(0~5 mm),with the cement dose of 5%,aeolian sand cement stabilized graded gravel base mixture are prepared by equivalent replacement of river sand by aeolian sand, and the substitution rates are 0%,7%,12%,17%,22%,30%,respectively.Through the comparative study and analysis of raw material engineering indexes, compaction test and 7 d unconfined strength test,It is feasible to use cement stabilized graded gravel with a replacement rate of 7%for aeolian sand as the base layer of secondary and subsecondary highways.
