Abstract:This paper conducts single-body combustion, flammability, combustion calorific value, and smoke toxicity tests on alu-minum-plastic composite panels with ordinary PE core,flame-retardant PE core, and inorganic core. The combustion performance of different core types of aluminum-plastic composite panels is compared. The results show that for the ordinary PE core panel, the FI-GRA and THR600s values in the single-body combustion test are much higher than those of the other two types of aluminum-plas-tic composite panels, and its combustion performance grade does not meet the B1(B)standard requirement, with intense combustion. The combustion performance grades of the flame-retardant PE core panel and the inorganic core panel both meet the B1(B)standard requirement, and the inorganic core panel has better combustion performance. The combustion calorific value of the core material of the ordinary PE core panel is the highest among the three types of panels, approaching 40 MJ/kg,while the inorganic core panel has the lowest combustion calorific value. The smoke toxicity of the three types of panels can all reach the quasi-safe level(ZA1 level),and the addition of flame retardants can effectively reduce the full smoke production rate of polyethylene.
