Effects of film thickness and number of film formation on the mechanical properties of waterproof film

Abstract：For three typical waterproof coatings,the influence of film thickness and number of film formation on their mechan-ical properties was studied.The results showed that within the test range,with the increase of coating thickness,the tensile strength and tear strength of JS waterproof coating gradually improve;the tensile strength and tear strength of PU waterproof coating first decrease and then change gradually;the tensile strength and tear strength of polyacrylate waterproof coating first increase and then decrease.The tear strength and tensile strength are positively correlated,and the correlation between the fitting curve is good.When the dry film thickness is the same(5 mm),the more film formation times,the higher the tensile strength,tear strength,and e-longation at break of the waterproof coating.
