Effect of nano C-S-H seed on the setting and hardening process of cement-based materials

Abstract：Nano C-S-H seed can significantly improve the early strength of cement-based materials at lower dosages without ad-versely affecting long-term performance,thus it has become a recent research hot spot.However,there is currently no systematic study to elucidate the influence and mechanism of nano C-S-H seed on the setting and hardening process of cement-based materials.Based on this background,this article systematically summarizes and analyzes the research status of nano C-S-H seed in cement-based mate-rials from four aspects:a recapitulate of nano C-S-H seed,the influence of nano C-S-H seed on the hydration process,microstructure and properties of cement-based materials,the action mechanism of nano C-S-H seed in cement-based materials,and the synergistic ef-fect of nano C-S-H seed with other admixtures,aiming to provide theoretical guidance for the application of admixtures.
