Abstract:The effect of four different expansive agents on the autogenous volume deformation of C60 concrete was compared, and their crack resistance performance was evaluated. The optimal solution was then applied to the exterior wall of the main building in an underground project in Wuhan. The results show that when the dosage is 6%for all types of expansive agents, the calcium-based expansive agent has rapid early expansion and the best short-term crack resistance. The magnesium-based expansive agent has more uniform expansion and the best long-term crack resistance. The calcium-magnesium composite expansive agent(CMEA)has rapid early expansion and can maintain uniform expansion over a long period, but its crack resistance is relatively poor. When the dosage of CMEA is increased from 6%to 10%,the net expansion of the concrete at 7 and 28 days increases by 99.3%and 95.4%respectively,and the crack resistance is the best. The engineering application has verified that using 10%CMEA in compensating shrinkage concrete can improve the crack resistance of the wall.
