Abstract:Steel slag and aeolian sand were used as substitutes for crushed stone and river sand, respectively,to prepare steel slag aeolian sand concrete. The study investigated the effects of different replacement rates of aeolian sand and steel slag on the 7 d and 28 d compressive strength and microstructure of concrete, and a prediction model for compressive strength was established. The results show that the appropriate addition of aeolian sand and steel slag can improve the compressive strength of concrete. When the replacement rate of aeolian sand is 30%and that of steel slag is 30%,the highest compressive strength of steel slag aeolian sand concrete is achieved, with 7 d and 28 d compressive strength of 26.5 MPa and 42.5 MPa,respectively.SEM analysis indicates that the appropriate addition of aeolian sand and steel slag can improve the hydration products and interfacial transition zone of concrete. The established compressive strength prediction model has a high degree of accuracy.
