Abstract:Through high-temperature tests and quasi-static compression tests, this study investigated the changes in appearance, mass loss rate, and residual compressive strength of silicon carbide-modified concrete when it was heated to 200,400,600,and 800℃respectively and sintered for 3 h.The results show that compared with ordinary concrete specimens, the silicon carbide-modified concrete specimens exhibited more intact appearance, lower mass loss rate, and higher residual compressive strength after high-temperature exposure. The enhancement effect of silicon carbide on the mechanical properties of concrete is significantly influenced by its fineness but shows no obvious correlation with its content. The optimal improvement is achieved when the silicon carbide fineness is 400 mesh.Comprehensive analysis suggests that the optimal parameters for silicon carbide modification are a content of 6%and a fineness of 400 mesh.
