Study on the test methods for delamination resistance of adhesives for wood products

Abstract：This study investigated the delamination resistance through four test methods——cold/hot cycling,wet/dry cycling,wet heat,and dry heat to simulate non harsh and harsh environmental conditions.Results indicated that 100%,89.3%,92.9%,and 92.9%of adhesives met non-harsh environment requirements(Grades 1 and 2),while 89.3%,85.7%,85.7%,and 92.9%satisfied harsh environment criteria(Grades 3)and 71.4%,85.7%,85.7%,and 92.9%satisfied harsh environment criteria(Grades 4).The proposed methods demonstrated strong discriminative power for evaluating delamination resistance and broad applicability across di-verse climatic conditions,thereby supplementing current testing standards.
