Research on the effect of chain alcohol amine on properties of Portland cement

Abstract：In this paper,the effect of chain alcohol amine CS on the performance,hydration and microstructure of Portland cement was explored from the setting time,strength,hydration heat,hardened cement paste XRD,microstructure SEM and nitrogen adsorption porosity test of clean paste.The results show that chain alcohol amine CS has significant retarding characteristics,and the higher the content,the stronger the retarding property.The mechanical properties of cement paste can be significantly improved when the content of CS is 0.6%based on the mass of the cement,and the strength increase in 28 days reaches 10.0%.In the microscopic aspect,CS content of 0.6%can significantly promote the formation of hydration product calcium hydroxide,improve the hydration degree of cement mineral phase,improve the distribution of hydration products,and lower the porosity.
