Abstract:Based on indicators such as compaction characteristics,California Bearing Ratio(CBR),and unconfined compressive strength, this study analyzed the compatibility of 80%phosphogypsum stabilized three types of subgrade soils and investigated their microscopic interaction mechanisms. The results demonstrate that phosphogypsum stabilized low liquid limit clay exhibits optimal compatibility.Compared with pure phosphogypsum, its dry density,CBR,and unconfined compressive strength increased by 6.5%,18%,and 33%respectively,while expansion and water absorption decreased by 27%and 6%.Microscopic analysis revealed physical bond-ing between clay mineral particles and phosphogypsum lamellar structures, intensified silicate mineral peaks, reduced porosity, and a more compact microstructure.Phosphogypsum stabilized high liquid limit red clay shows the poorest compatibility, with dry density, water absorption, and expansion increasing by 5%,46%,and 34%respectively,while CBR and unconfined compressive strength de-creased by 30%and 57%compared to pure phosphogypsum. The physical properties of phosphogypsum and low liquid limit silt are found to be similar, showing no significant compatibility.
