Abstract:Mineral admixtures and curing conditions are critical factors affecting concrete carbonation properties. This study compares the carbonation depths of concrete in single and combined mineral admixture systems at different ages through long-term observation of formed concrete walls.Additionally, the carbonation performance under various curing methods was investigated. The results indicate that the combined use of fly ash and slag significantly enhances concrete's resistance to carbonation.Specifically, incorporating 15%fly ash or 20%slag alone significantly reduces carbonation depth. The combination of 10%fly ash and 15%slag achieves the lowest long-term carbonation depth. The slag-silica fume combination exhibits better carbonation resistance than the fly ash-silica fume combination.Furthermore, extending the curing period significantly reduces carbonation depth, and the use of curing agents and weak alkaline solutions can further delay concrete carbonation.
