Abstract:K2O-CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 high-temperature and high-strength binder was prepared, the effects of each oxide on the properties of the binder, the phase composition and crystal structure of the binder formulation were studied by orthogonal test.Combined with scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and X-ray energy spectroscopy(EDS)characterization methods, the high-temper-ature bonding mechanism of binder between permeable brick particles and aggregates was elucidated. The results show that the formation of glass phase is combined with the encapsulation of SiO2 crystals and the bending strength is up to 57.11 MPa.During sintering, the binder decomposes to produce liquid phase and gas,and the mutual diffusion of liquid phase and aggregate generating elements increases the strength.Due to liquid phase migration and gas generation, the original small pores form large pores to make the permeable brick permeable.
