Abstract:Waste reuse and shortage of sand and gravel resources are the focus of current industry concerns, and the use of solid waste to prepare artificial aggregates as a substitute for natural aggregates is of great practical significance. In this study, the effect of autoclaved silicate aggregate(ASA)on the properties of C40 and C60 concrete was investigated by using ASA with different volume substitution rates as a substitute for natural aggregate under the condition of a fixed water-to-cement ratio. The results showed that with the increase of ASA substitution rate, the concrete mix fluidity was substantially improved and density decreased, and the compressive strength, split tensile strength and elastic modulus were significantly reduced after the substitution rate exceeded 20%.Comprehensively consideration, the proportion of autoclaved silicate aggregate replacing natural gravel by equal volume should not exceed 20%.
