Abstract:Lightweight Cellular Concrete(LCC)is widely used as a road embankment filler, but its physical and mechanical properties degrade over time, affecting embankment stability. This study comprehensively considers vehicle static load, road surface roughness, vehicle speed, and tire contact area to propose a simplified method for calculating vehicle dynamic load.Through accelerated testing and finite element numerical simulation, the safety factor and residual strength changes of LCC embankments under different dynamic loads and overlay thicknesses were analyzed, and the attenuation law of LCC compressive strength was obtained for lifespan assessment. The results indicate that there is a significant negative correlation between the safety factor and residual strength of LCC embankments and the vehicle dead load and vehicle load frequency.A dynamic load of 100 kPa and a frequency of 15 Hz are critical values where the safety factor is not less than 1 and the residual strength ratio of 65%.Therefore,it is recommended to use these two parameters as standards for controlling the maximum load and traffic flow on LCC embankment highways.
