A review of ceramisite from tailings:preparation technology and applications

Abstract：Tailing is the solid waste discharged from ore after beneficiation,and its accumulation is also increasing,which not only occupies land,but also causes serious environmental pollution and resource waste.The preparation technology of tailings ce-ramisite was introduced and analyzed systematically.The effects of raw material ratio,auxiliary materials and firing technology on the properties of ceramisite are discussed.The existing problems and solutions were put forward.Then the application of tailing ce-ramisite in light concrete,water treatment filter material,petroleum proppant,wave absorbing material was introduced.The main re-search directions for future tailings ceramisite were pointed out,which include light,porous,high strength tailings ceramisite,compos-ite tailings ceramisite preparation technology and expanding the application field of tailings ceramisite.
