Abstract:Aluminum ash poses the risk of releasing toxic and harmful gases when it comes into contact with water. To solve the problem of aluminum ash disposal, aluminum ash is pre-treated using aqueous media, mixed with sand washing sediment,engi-neering waste soil, and domestic sludge, and the feasibility of aluminum ash collaborating with multi-source urban solid waste to prepare ultra-light ceramic particles is studied. The results show that according to the ratio of engineering waste soil∶sand washing bottom mud∶domestic sludge∶hydrolyzed aluminum ash=24∶57∶10∶9,within the firing temperature range of 1125~1225 ℃,ultra-light ceramic particles with an average stacking density of 405 kg/m3,an average water absorption rate of 6.47%,and a density grade of 500 can be fired. The production of aluminum ash ceramic particles using the powder grinding ball rotary kiln process is also fea-sible,and the performance of ceramic particles products meets the requirements of GB/T 17431.1-2010 standard.
