Abstract:Plenty of building solid waste has been produced across the country with large-scale projects of demolition and reconstruction.Among them, there are many clay bricks.Recycled mixed brick aggregate has the performance of large porosity and high water absorption compared with traditional natural aggregate. So it has a big effect on the performance of recycled concrete. In this paper,we used recycled mixed brick aggregate to prepare concrete and tested the drying shrinkage and impermeability. The results show that the early drying shrinkage of recycled mixed brick aggregate concrete was obvious. With the age,the rate of drying shrinkage increased constantly while the speed of drying shrinkage gradually reduced. After 34 days, the drying shrinkage was still continuing without gentle trend. The drying shrinkage was affected by water cement ratio and the amount of recycled mixed brick aggregate at the same time. The impermeability grade of the recycled concrete of every strength grade can reach P10 or above. There was no obvious negative effect on the impermeability of the recycled concrete with the mix of recycled mixed brick aggregate.
