A review of research on geopolymer raw materials and their curing methods

Abstract：Review the five main components of geopolymer raw materials and five curing methods.A review is provided on the five main components of geopolymer raw materials,which are activators,silico-aluminum precursor,modified materials,additives,and water,as well as five curing methods:thermal curing,electrocuring,vapor pressure curing,microwave curing,and solar radiation curing.Discuss the excitation principles of alkali,acid,and salt activators,compare the sources,main excitation products,and their microstructures of low-calcium and calcium-free aluminosilicate precursors.Describe the impact of modified materials on the per-formance enhancement of geopolymers,elaborate the effects of three commonly used admixtures on the rheological properties and mechanical strength of geopolymers,analyze the role,forms,and quantity of water in geopolymer reactions,and finally,summarize the curing principles and influencing factors of curing methods.
