Effects of aluminum hydroxide dried gel on properties of alkali-free accelerator

Abstract：Alkali-free accelerator was prepared with aluminum hydroxide dried gel as modifier. The influences of aluminum hydroxide dried gel on setting time of cement paste,compressive strength of mortar and compatibility between cement and setting accelerator were investigated. The results showed that. aluminum hydroxide xerogel can effectively promote the hydration process of cement,which can shorten the initial setting time of the reference cement to 2 min and the final setting time to 3 min35 s when the dosage is 8％,the compressive strength ratio of 28 d is up to 108.2％. It also had good compatibility with cement,which was helpful for its application.
