Abstract:In this paper, magnesium phosphate cement(MPC)was prepared with waste residue of aerated concrete. The influ-ences of particle size and amount of waste residue on the setting time and compressive strength of MPC were studied. The results demonstrate that with the decrease of particle size of waste residue, the compressive strength of MPC increased. The MPC prepared with waste residue of aerated concrete need more water. When the water cement ratio was 0.25,and the amount of waste residue varied from 0 to 30%,with the increase of waste residue, the compressive strength of MPC at 4 hours decreased firstly and then increased, but the amount of waste residue had no effect on later compressive strength and setting time of MPC. When the water cement ratio was 0.39,and the amount of waste residue varied from 20% to 50%,with the increase of waste residue, the setting time of MPC became shortened, and the compressive strength of MPC increased firstly and then decreased slightly.
