Abstract:Ceramic permeable brick was prepared by using coal gangue and clay as the main raw material, and expanded perlite as pore-forming agent. The effects of the ratio of raw materials, the firing system and the amount of expanded perlite on properties of the ceramic permeable bricks were studied. The experimental results show that the better technological parameters are the ratio of coal gangue and clay to 7:3,the sintering temperature is 1050℃,the amount of expanded perlite is 80% and the hold-ing time is 30 minutes. The obtained brick has the best performance, and its splitting tensile strength is 3.75 MPa,and the water permeability is 0.355×10-2cm/s. The sintered water permeable brick achieves the use of coal gangue waste, but also has a certain economic benefits.
