Abstract:The water-based ultra-thin fire resistive coating for steel structure was prepared by using styrene-acrylic emulsion, silicone-acrylic emulsion and polyvinyl acetate emulsion as the resin binder respectively. This paper studied the effect of the type of emulsion on the physical properties and fire-resistant property of fire resistive coating. Then studied the effect of different content of polyvinyl acetate emulsion on fire-resistant property of fire resistive coating. The results show that, using polyvinyl acetate emulsion as the resin binder when the content of polyvinyl acetate emulsion is 32% by mass, the fire resistive coating has the best fire-resistant property.
