The research on emulsifying property and application of new water-based epoxy emulsifier

Abstract：A new type of water-based epoxy emulsifier was synthesized with bisphenol a epoxy resin E-44 and polyethylene glycol as raw materials and the solubility and stability were studied. The influence of emulsifier on cement mortar was analyzed. The result shows:The stability of the emulsifier composited with E-44 is good when the molecular weight of epoxy emulsion in polyethylene glycol was 4000 and 6000. The optimal process shows that:epoxy resin to PEG 6000 was 1.25:1,the optimum value of the total mass of the epoxy resin is 20% to 25% and the optimum temperature of emulsification is 50℃ to 60℃. Water based epoxy emulsion has a retarding effect on cement mortar and the compressive strength,flexural strength and chemical stability of cement mortar in the later stage first increased and then decreased,and the optimum dosage was 8%.
