Development of high performance inorganic insulation materials based on hydrophobic aerogels
QIAN Yaoli
Abstract:The lightweight aggregates in traditional inorganic insulation mortar were replaced by hydrophobic aerogels, which reduced the thermal conductivity but improved dry density and compressive strength. At the same time, the minimum thermal con-ductivity can be less than 0.060 W/(m·K),there are lots of high performance in the new inorganic insulation materials, including low water absorption, high softening coefficient, good frost resistance and durability because of the strong hydrophobicity of aerogels.
