Preparation of waterborne superhydrophobic coatings for exterior wall

Abstract：By mixing fluorinated acrylic resin emulsion and SiO2 nanoparticles with silicon resin emulsion,waterborne superhydrophobic coats were prepared. The effect of prescription and curing temperature on wettabilities of resulted coatings was studied thoroughly. The stabilities of the coating superhydrophobic property in water were observed. The results showed that the waterborne superhydrophobic coats is environment friendly,facile,and can be dried at room temperature. And the coatings have the stable superhydrophobic properties and dirt pickup resistance.
