Influence of different curing temperature on properties of epoxy structural adhesive

Abstract：In view of the epoxy structural adhesive for underwater and wet environment,this paper researched the effect of different curing temperatures on the properties of epoxy structural adhesive. The water solubility,water absorption,dimensional change rate elongation at break and mechanical properties were tested. The results showed the increase of curing temperature can improve the compressive strength,bending strength and dimensional change rate (from contraction to expansion). The water absorption increased with the increase of curing temperature and then decreased,water absorption reached the maximum under 23℃,up to 1.95%. The water solubility,tensile strength and underwater drawing strength decreased with increasing curing temperature. The epoxy structural adhesive and concrete bonding is good in the air,drawing strength equals to tensile strength of base concrete.
