Preparation and application of C25 self-compacting concrete using large amount of mineral admixture

Abstract：In this paper,C25 self-compacting concrete was made by using large amount of fly ash and limestone powder. Next, the performance of concrete was studied and the concrete was applied to engineering. The results showed that the high performance C25 self-compacting concrete can be made using cementing material which is 450 kg/m3 and mixed with 50% fly ash and limestone powder. Proper amount of fly ash can improve the fluidity of concrete mixture and reduce the drying shrinkage of concrete. Limestone powder can improve the cohesiveness of concrete mixture,but not conducive to the growth of the late strength of concrete,and the drying shrinkage of concrete will increase also. In practical engineering,it is necessary to strengthen the early curing of concrete and prolong the curing time appropriately,and use 60 d compressive strength as the basis of concrete strength evaluation and acceptance.
