Preparation and properties of polycarboxylic superplasticizer with low sensitivity

Abstract：The low sensitive type polycarboxylate superplasticizer(PCE-D) was synthesized by using 4-hydroxyl vinyl butyl polyoxyethylene ether(VPEG) as macromonomer,hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)/FF6 as initiators,and mercaptopropionic acid(BMPA) as the chain transfer agent. The structure of the polymer was characterized by infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),gel permeationchromatogra phy(GPC) and liquid chromatography(LC),and the sensitivity of the polymer to dosage,raw material,temperature and water usage were investigated through the concrete test. The results showed that the low sensitive type polycarboxylate superplasticizer(PCE-D) was less sensitive to the dosage,cement raw material and temperature,and better than the ordinary polycarboxylic superplasticizer (PCE-1).
