Abstract:Effects of Ca(OH)2(CH) and NaOH(NH) solutions with different alkalinities on the performances of setting time, 2 h strength of the flue gas desulfurization calcined gypsum(FGD) were studied, then the mechanisms were investigated by hydration temperature rises,XRD,and SEM tests. The results show that:the FGD initial setting times and final setting times are all obviously shortened by the increasing alkalinities of the mixing water, which pH values change from 7.6 to 12.0,the optimization alkalinity is around pH=9.0 for FGD strength properties in the two solution environments, last the analysis results indicate that the phase transformation heats, crystallization degrees, crystal morphologies and densifications of FGD hydration products are all changed by the increased alkalinities.
