Abstract:The stomatal structure of foamed concrete was observed and calculated by digital microscope and image analysis software. The water absorption and compressive strength of foam concrete were measured and studied with 600 kg/m3 and 900 kg/m3 foam grades. The mathematical relationship between the pore structure parameters, the water absorption and the strength ratio of foam concrete was established by using Matlab. The results show that the water absorption of foam concrete increases with the in-crease of porosity and also increases with the augment of mean pore size. The strength ratio increases with the increase of porosity mainly, while the effect of pore size is small.
