Effect of amino acid retarders on the hydration of flue gas desulfurization gypsum

Abstract：The effect of different amino acid retarders on the hydration of β-hemihydrate desulfurization gypsum was investigated. The results show that the retarder 200P can immensely prolong the initial setting time and final setting time of gypsum,while its extension range is the most significant with the increasing of dosage. All retarders have good performance on promoting the initial slump flow of the gypsum slurry at a certain dosage.
