Study on plant-growing ability and mechanism of cement modified raw soil blocks

Abstract：Based on the excellent recycling ability,raw soil materials are used widely. Cement modified raw soil blocks ex-press better strength and water resistance,while the recycling ability decreases. Effects of different mix proportioning,particle sizes and curing environments are tested and the mechanism is studied. The results show that most of alkali resistant plants grow healthily in modified raw soil particles,while the growing state improves obviously after accelerating carbonation. Meanwhile,differ-ent plants adapt to different raw soil particle sizes.
