Study on preparation and properties of a new type of polycarboxylate slump retaining agent

Abstract：A new polycarboxylate slump retaining agent was synthesized with two steps.The first,esterification of MAH (maleic anhydride),Methyl lactate and PTS.Then get the esterification products.The second,using the esteriflcation products,hydroxypropyl acrylate (HPA),4-hydroxybutyl vinyl ether(VPEG) as monomers,the persulfate (APS) as complex initiator,and thioglycolic acid (TGA) as chain transfer agent.The performance test shows that the new polycarboxylate slump retaining agent has good slump loss resistant property,good workability and sensitivity.
