Abstract：Glass curtain walls and stone facades have been widely used in China, but more and more safety problems are being faced along with the time lapses. In this article safety issues concerning the curtain wall and the insurance have been discussed. Suggestions on the assessment of safety and durability of building glass curtain walls and stone facades have been put forward.
