Application of fine silicon powder in concrete engineering

Abstract：The fine silicon powder has very high potential pozzuolana activity. It may increase compaction degree, initial strength, durability, adhesive strength between cement paste and aggregate and improve pore size distribution of cement paste when it is added into concrete. It is indispensable component for preparation of high performance concrete. This paper probes into filling and pozzuolana effects of fine silicon powder, analyzes its influence on concrete properties and application in concrete engineering.
