Development and application of coal jigging technology and equipment

Abstract：Washing of coal through jigging has a long history,and was once the most popular coal washing pro-cess in the past.However,over the course of the past two decades,along with the rapid development of heavy medium and dry cleaning technologies,jigging method has seen sharp decrease in proportion of application among other processes.In order to bring out the valuable parts and make up the deficiencies of jigging process,multiple new jigging technologies have been developed through incessantly tapping latent potential and making innovations by research workers.The use of these technologies has led to improvement of jigging efficiency,performance of process equipment,and expansion of scope of application of this method.Following an introduc-tion to the course of development of jigging process,the paper goes to analyze the technical features of several commonly used jigging machines,and some typical cases of their application are cited by way of example.The bottlenecks that need to be tackled and the trend of future development of jigging process are pointed out.
