Abstract：In 2024,the field of epilepsy has achieved a number of far-reaching advancements in basic and clinical research.These advancements cover aspects including the discovery of new targets for epilepsy surgery,the analysis of molecular pathological mechanisms,precise pharmacological research at the ion channel level,clinical progress in cell therapy and gene therapy,the development of new drugs,the application of wearable digital health technology,integrated psychological intervention for childhood epilepsy,and seizure prediction.Summarizing these research advancements is conducive to a more comprehensive understanding of the complexity of epilepsy,providing targets for further basic research and guiding clinical diagnosis and treatment.
