Abstract:A 49-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital for left-sided limb weakness lasting 11 hours on April 22, 2022. She suddenly developed left-sided limb weakness without obvious cause at 2:00 am while getting up to use the bathroom, fell into bed, accompanied by headache, dizziness, speech difficulty, and facial asymmetry. She was taken to the emergency department of another hospital at 7:00 am. Head MRI showed acute infarction in the right frontal and parietal lobes and the centrum semiovale. The diagnosis was considered as cerebral infarction, and aspirin 100 mg was orally administered. However, the symptoms of left-sided limb weakness did not improve. To seek further diagnosis and treatment, she was transferred to our hospital's emergency department at 12:36. The emergency department admitted her with a diagnosis of 'cerebral infarction'. The patient had no special past medical history, personal history, or family history.
