Analysis of the metabolic characteristics of hypertension combined with insulin resistance in lacunar cerebral infarction with minimal model
Abstract:Aim To investigate the metabolism disorder in hypertensive non-diabetics with lacunar infarction by Bergman's minimal model and provide theoretical basis for clinical treatment. Methods Bergman's improved minimal model was performed in 60 hypertensive non-diabetics with lacunar infarction individuals from Rujin Hospital from June 1999 to March 2001 to assess the insulin resistance sensitivity index(SI) and determine the metabolic disorder. The individuals were divided into two groups: IR and NIR groups. Results WHR(waist hip ratio) in IR group(n=38) was much higher than the NIR group(n=22) and the difference was significant( 0.88± 0.05 vs 0.85± 0.06, t= 2.15, P< 0.05); TG in IR group was much higher than the NIR group, the difference was significant[(2.41± 0.06) mmol/L vs (1.48± 0.03) mmol/L, t=2.24 , P< 0.05]; SI and glouse effectiveness (SG) in IR group were much lower than the group without IR[(4.0± 0.6) min/(mU@ L) vs (4.8± 0.6) min/(mU@ L),t= 2.18, P< 0.05; (2.12± 0.17)/min vs (2.61± 0.18)/min,t=2.24, P< 0.05〗 .Conclusion Abdominal obesity and hypertriglyceridemia are complicated in hypertensive nondiabetic lacunar infarction patients with the insulin resistance.
