Clinical study on life ability improved by” Kidney - Tonifying Formula” in Aizheimer' s disease
Abstract：Objective In order to observe the clinical effect of ” Kidney - Tonifying Formula” on ADL of patients with Alzheimer' s disease. Method Based upon DSM- IV diagnostic criteria, ADL table was used as the assessment tool together with donepezil for control study. Result The results showed that ”Kidney - Tonifying Formula” and Donepezil could improve the life ability of the patients remarkably(P ＜0. 01 ) and the total effective rate was respectively 41.18% and 35.29%. Conclusion The conclusion is that there is no significant diffference between” Kidney - Tonifying Formula” and western medicine in improving AD therapeutic effect and the main function of” Kidney - Tonifying Formula” lies in improvement of the self care and ability of daily life of the patients.
