The effect of post-stroke depression and intervention on the rehabilitation of neurological function
Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of post - stroke depression and treatment on the rehabilitation of neurological function. Method90 consecutive depressed patients were randomly assigned to equally sized Deanxit, Amitriptyline and placebo group. Patients were assessed byHamilton depression scale(HAMD) and Chinese stroke scale before treatment and 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 3 months and 6 months after treatment.Result The value of HAMD and CSS of Deanxit and Amitriptyline group have a statisticly significant reduction after treatment compared withthe placebo group. Conclusion The antidepressant therapy could significantly decrease the post -sroke depression and promote functionalrecoverv.
