A study on factors related to psychological status of cardiosurgery patients before and after operation
Abstract:Objective To explore the effect ofpsychosocial factors on psychological status of cardiosurgery patients before and after operation.Method 203 cases of cardiosurgery patients were assessed comprehensively by SCL- 90 and questionnaire including psychosocial fac-tors. Result The incidence of mental problem is 68. 78% before operation and 45.12% after operation . The incidence before operation wassignificantly higher than that of after operation ( P < 0. 01 ) . The middle age, blue collar profession , low educational level, psychosocialfactors, disease and /or operative treatment were correlated with mental problems. Conclusion Psychosocial factors were closely related to theoccurrence and development of mental problems of cardiodsurgery patients before and after operation.
