Study on relationships between personality structure and differentiation of symptom and sign of TCM in patients with primary hypertension
Abstract：Objective The relationships between the personality structure and the Differentiation of Symptom and Sign(DSS)of Traditional Chinese Medicire(TCM)of patients with primary hypertension were studied.Methods The psychological analysis were performed by Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ).The relationships between the personality structure of patients with primary hypertension and the personality theory of Traditional Chinese Medical Science(TCMS),and the typing by DSS of TCM were conducted comparatively. Results 38.58％ of patients with primary hypertension belonged to choleric temperament type.Conclusion The onset of primary hypertension wasmarkedly associated with the emotional instability and the bad temperature of the patients.The majority of them were of flaming up of liver fire,which suggest than the personality factors of patients with primary hypertension must be take into account in DSS and treatment of TCM.
