Effect of extra-early sensation input on the rehabilitation of severe hemiparalysis by cerebral infarction
Abstract:Objective: To study effect that the extra early sensation input can facilitate the movement of severe hemiparalyzed limb in ischaemic brain stroke patients.Method:65 patients with cerebral infarction were admitted within 3 days after the onset.Rehabilitation by sensation input along with rontine active and passive exercises was initiated.Result:The recovery of myodynamia was faster by the combination of sensation input and routine exercises than by routine exercises alone.A higher effective rate was found in the observed group than that in the controlled one.Daily activity such as eating with spoon and walking by stick were also different. Conclusion :Extra early sensation input accelerated the recovery of motor function, apparently facilitated the improvement of myodynamia, functional status and daily activity of the paralyzed limb, and prevented early disabled syndrome in cerebral infarction sufferers.
