The application of orthosis and self-help aids to hemiplegic upper exteremity
Abstract：The application of orthosis and self-help aids to hemiplegic upper extremity was summarized.According to the functions of orthosis,there are four kinds: the orthosis to hold and immobilize the limb, to remedy joint contracture,to reduce spasticity and hypertonus,and to recover movement. The principles of orthosis management and common self-help aids of daily living were introduced. It was recommended that the comprehensive measurements(PT,orthosis,electric stimulation, medicine, etc)should be applied to improve rehabilitation effect.
