Abstract:Congenital median perineal fissure is a rare congenital malformation of the genital system in children, which is present at birth and prone to missed diagnosis due to insufficient clinical awareness. To enhance the understanding of this disease among pediatric urologists and emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment, this paper retro-spectively analyzed the clinical data of a female child with complete congenital median perineal fissure and conducted a litera-ture review. The child was treated with linear excision and suture.Pathological examination revealed squamous epithelial hy-perplasia and mild parakeratosis of the superficial layer.Primary wound healing was achieved one week after surgery, and slight local protuberance of the perineal groove was observed one month postoperatively.Congenital median perineal fissure has a low clinical incidence, and accurate diagnosis requires collaboration between neonatologists and pediatric surgeons. The linear excision and suture method is simple to operate, allows for rapid postoperative recovery, and has demonstrated reliable efficacy in existing surgical cases, thus serving as one of the preferred surgical options for this disease.
