Abstract:Transurethral resection of bladder tumor(TURBT)is the primary surgical approach for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. This study summarizes the operational techniques and standards for TURBT using a needle electrode. The needle electrode allows for en bloc resection of the bladder tumor or its base, thereby increasing the de-tection rate of muscle layers and making the pathological report more scientific and comprehensive.Additionally, the needle electrode has certain advantages in reducing intraoperative and postoperative bleeding,as well as the risk of bladder perforation due to obturator nerve reflex. It also enables direct intraoperative assessment of whether the tumor is infiltrative, thus reducing the need for a second resection.
