Abstract:Objective:To investigate the surgical outcomes and influencing factors in patients with non-function-ing adrenal adenomas(NFAs)and hypertension. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 123 patients with NFAs and hypertension who underwent surgical treatment at the Department of Urology,Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University from January 2021 to March 2023.Follow-up observations were made to assess the improvement in blood pressure after surgery.Patients were divided into two groups based on postoperative blood pressure:the inef-fective group and the effective group.Clinical characteristics and the efficacy of hypertension treatment were analyzed to identify the factors influencing postoperative blood pressure improvement. Results:All 123 patients successfully underwent laparoscopic surgery, with 114 undergoing partial adrenalectomy and 9 undergoing unilateral total adrenal-ectomy.Postoperative follow-up showed that 71 patients(57.7%)experienced an improvement in their hypertension.Analysis of clinical characteristics revealed statistically significant differences in body mass index(BMI)and the dura-tion of hypertension between the ineffective and effective groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Surgical treatment can im-prove blood pressure levels in some patients with NFAs and hypertension.BMI and the duration of hypertension are independent factors influencing postoperative blood pressure improvement.
