Application and Progress of Thulium Laser in the Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Abstract：Thulium laser,as a novel medical laser,is increasingly recognized and utilized by urologists for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).It offers advantages such as minimally invasive nature,excellent he-mostasis,fewer postoperative complications,and minimal impact on sexual function.This review summarizes the commonly used techniques and clinical applications of thulium laser in the treatment of BPH,as well as its recent ad-vancements.The aim is to enhance urologists'understanding of thulium laser technology,which will facilitate the fur-ther promotion and application of this treatment modality for BPH.
